I was watching a TCM monster movie "Them" and one scene had a B-25 delivering two people. It appeared to be painted grey with stars and bars insignia with USAF under the wing, a "two star" general's plaque under the pilots window, and a solid non-standard half nose. The nose sort of looked like Tallman's B-25 nose but solid. The exhaust was non-standard, and the air scoop was the older Holley carburetor type intake. It had no navigator windows in the cockpit so I'm assuming it was a J model. The IMDB stated it was a real general's plane, any ideas of ID? I was to sleepy to pick up the serial number, and see if it had waist gun windows.

It would be fun if TCM ran an entire weekend of atomic bomb enlarged monster movies, I'd love to see bus sized cockroaches and huge crabs and all that early 50's sci-fi stuff again!!

Thge other day TCM had a mini Kenneth Tobey (Whirlybirds) film festival whereb he played a militay officer fighting huge beasts...
The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms (1953) and It Came from Beneath the Sea (1955).
I know the latter has a Navy H-5 variant...I think the first had some sort of helicopter but I missed it.
