So, who is going to be at the Central Texas Airshow in Temple this weekend? I see that Texas Raiders is going to be there. Is the Yellow Rose going to be there too? How about you Karen and your O-2?

Grant Lannon and I will be bringing the Yellow Rose to Temple, along with Flight Mechanics Richard Hall, Ray Clausen, and a support crew of thousands! OK, maybe at least four others on the sign-up sheet. We are trying to decide when we will arrive. I'm pushing for early Saturday morning as the show cut their offer of three rooms for us, so we will have to pay for our own. If we decide to go on Friday, I'll have to take off work. Let's see....work or fly a B-25. Oh, that's a tough one! LOL

We aren't even going to have quite all our fuel covered by the show, and that's all we are getting, so everyone please stop by for aircraft tours, PX items, or donations if you can. We have an engine to pay for!

Thanks!

Barksdale's show is this weekend as well. LSFM is supposed to have the P-51 and B-17 there, both for Heritage Flights. Not sure about any other attendees, but it is usually a good military show. Not too far from Temple, would be a good weekend to do one on Saturday and the other on Sunday. Any Wixers in attendance, ask for Keith (Gumby's cousin) around Galveston Gal, and I'll be happy to show you around.

Viking73 - are you, or were you, involved with 82ATS, Det.1? Noticed your avatar is their patch.

Barksdale is always a great show, and great experience. Unfortunately our insider at Barksdale injured her back while deployed in Afghanistan and came back PCSed to the patient squadron at Lackland, so we didn't get an invite.

Just checked the Temple forecast for the weekend. Not too warm...high 88 Saturday, 90 Sunday, but a tad on the windy side. Gusts Saturday up to 25 knots. Just hope it's somewhat down a runway!

Hi Keith,

No 82ATS connection for me. I just like drones :)

If I can make it out there this weekend (shooting for Saturday) I'll be sure to ask/look for you.

Mike,

You are going to have some of the new brown Rose shirts there for sale yes? I'll be sure to snag one there! I'll be sure to stop by and say "hi" also.

Derek,

I'll be sure to remind our PX officer to load what we have! I think he probably would anyway, but I'll be sure to remind him!

As soon as we figure out when we are arriving, I'll post it here.

airshows are amazing really. The must pays like seats and fences etc etc get paid in full. Spend ga$$ilions on rebuilding your airplane plus the costs of running it and the organisers chince in paying costs....

They are sharp looking t-shirts and go towards a really good cause...
