EAA's website is also indicating that at this point heavies scheduled to attend include Fifi, Diamond Lil, and five flyable B-17's.

It would be great to see the -17's before Thunder Over Michigan. But I think that for the most part, any of the planes will do much, if any flying at Oshkosh. The EAA just doesn't want to part with the $$ it would cost for fuel for these planes.

On a more personal note, I was a Warbirds member for many years until about 3-4 years ago, when on Warbird Sunday I saw about a full 3/4 of the Warbirds that were in the Warbirds area taxi out. I thought...gonna have a GREAT flying show today. And then I saw that about 2/3 of the planes never came back, they all flew away. That was when I realized that the EAA had finaly gone over the top as far as both commercialization and limiting the shows to what they wanted up in the air. I thought...no more. I went to Oshkosh expressly for the Heavy Iron. And after a yearly decline in what owners brought to the shows that particular airshow was the proverbially straw. I dropped my membership because the EAA stopped being the show it was 10 years ago. Even the "Fly-Market" ceased being what it was. Now...you can get all the sunglasses and frying pans you want. But when it comes to looking for Aircraft Parts (I always found a vendor with T-6g parts as I am involved in restoring one), there was so little to be found any longer. In a word....dissapointing
