The Museum has updated their Widow restoration page.

We have tail booms!

The P-61 is supposed to be outside on display at this years WWII weekend. 8)

I wish I could see it at the WW2 weekend!

I noticed that MAAM has a picture of the paint scheme over on their facebook page. It will wear it's original 550th NFS markings :)

Wonder if they'll have the full tail together by the WWII weekend?

That's such a hard call on the markings. So no nose art then? And only 4 left, and 2 in basically the same markings.

Yeah that's tough! You can't ault them for putting it back in it's oroginal markings. Same with the NASM bird as it is init's NASA colors. The NMUSAF P-61 does atleast have some nose art. I would love to see it get the markings of "Lady In the Dark"

I think it's a great call to put it back into its original markings. It really doesn't need some hideous non-original nose art (as seems to be in vogue these days with Tigercat owners).

I'm really looking forward to seeing it once it's complete, this has to be one of the all-time great warbird recovery and restoration stories, on a par with 'Glacier Girl'.

I could not agree more. Putting her back in the markings that she wore at the time of the loss, is the only way to go with this combat veteran.

Hey! :D I believe that if you guys parked Briefing Time in MY front yard you would have more room to bring that beautiful aeroplane to completion. I promise to bathe her, let her mark her territory, and keep the birds off of her.. :axe: ...I could do that...Yeah....that's the ticket
