Once in a while you find something that just defies logic and while cruising The Jalopy Journal, I stumbled across this oddity.

What crazy stuff do you have?

Not crazy, but different...

We have a photo enlarger with about a 4'x5' vacuum-back easel that has to tilt and swing (to rectify aerial photos). The swing mechanism (I'm told) is a turret ring from a B-17. The builder of this custom enlarger built a similar one for a competitor, and it also uses a turret ring.

I'll see if I can post a photo so somebody can verify.

We had a pretty good thread going on that subject a while back:

Ah yes, La Carrera Panamericana, aka the Mexican Road Race. Somewhere around this office is a Floyd Clymer book from the 1950 race which has a shot (closeup, all you can see is the cockpit) of the future CAF A-20G. (Just spent 20 min. looking for it and of course I can't find it  )
