After having some fun flying today in my S-2B, I stopped at MAPS Museum's 20th celebration. The folks there were super kind to allow me to push my Pitts Special into position next to the Collings' Corsair to get some photos of my favorite 2 airplane types. While I only had my blackberry with me for a camera (pics attached), there was a gentleman there (who happened to have flown missions in a B-24) that had a D-SLR that I am hoping to get some much better pics from. What a neat opportunity it was.

(photos deleted)

I deleted the crappy cell phone pics in favor of a much better one. Special thanks to Ralph Lynn from MAPS Air Museum for taking the picture.

That's a neat color scheme on your Pitts.

Thanks Steve. I know color schemes can certainly invoke a variety of opinions (nothing new to this forum, right  ). The wing and tail stripes were kinda inspired by invasion stripes which morphed into feathered racing stripes when I was laying out different designs. I actually built this scheme in MS Flight Sim X so that I could see it in 3D flying prior to deciding to paint my airplane. I thought about glossy sea blue with a checker board cowl.............

Wow Corsairboss, that sure is a great job on cleaning. Looks factory new. Unfortunately, I'm one of those that actually thinks a warbird is prettier when it looks like it's been "warbirding!"
