I figured someone here might know. What types of helmets and masks would Naval Aviators have used throughtout the Vietnam war? Specifically interested in Crusader Squadrons but would they all have been the same or different for the aircraft types?

Thanks

One of the most common types used by Navy pilots in Vietnam was the
APH 6 with a single dark visor with fitted pads and black plastic earcups.
The O2 mask would be and MS 22001 oxygen mask and have the hard to find butterfly mask to helmet clips and 3-pin electronics connector. Do a search on Google : http://www.best-of-flightgear.dk/aph6helm.htm

I was issued a APH6 but no mask in 1986. I supposed to turn it back
in but I stole it ( I mean I just plain forgot to turn it in)
It's sitting in my den if the revenuers ever want it back :?
