THAT was indeed a challenging show box.
Because there was no runway for line-up, everyone had to use 3 small boats in the center river for line-up references. Then......at the end of the box.....the river bends!! Now come on!!! I was just lined up with center-river and then the river took a TURN!! Sheesh!! Low sun angles, the hills to the east & those 2 big antennas all contributed to a real mind game on keeping positioning. Albeit, it sure was fun and a pretty place to fly.
(Sometimes, I just can't believe I get to skim the waters at high speed make tight turns, zoom past one river bank to the other, then pull up for a victory roll........all legal and approved by the FAA.

If I was at some remote part of the state and doing just the same flying.......phones would promptly be ringing at the nearby FSDO.)
