I know there is a thread on the Millville NJ air show, but for me, this is too big so it needs it's own thread! And I think some of you all might enjoy the story as well!

I attended the show on saturday and with the help of Bob Baranaskas and his P-51D Glamorous Gal, I got engaged! After having everything set up for Friday nite's twilight show and having it pour rain and be completely miserable, everythign came together on saturday. Bob went up with a few other warbirds, did their few passes and came back down. Once on the hot ramp, I was able to call Bob and he took us beyond the 'tape' to his mustang and show us around a little bit. Then he let my fiance sit in the cockpit, let me up on the wing, and said "alright it's your show!" he left us there for a bit and i finally popped the question. it was nice because it was just us and the mustang and it is a moment that I will never forget!

If anyone knows Bob, he is a great man and helped a small dream of mine come true. And oh yeah,...she said yes! :D

Congrats Brian! Proposing in a P-51 is a really good plan. I wish I had thought of that. I could only imagine how much easier it would be to get Catherine to go to shows if I could suggest how romantic it would be!

Brain, Congrats, to both of you. Sounds like you are a real class act. Looks like your lady likes P-51's. Thats a cool thing! When my wife & I started dating, I made sure she liked anything that goes fast & makes noise. (Airplanes, Racecars, Etc) I wish you both the best.
Regards
Robbie :D

Brian,

Will try to look you up Friday at Reading (if it's not raining) and congratulate you in person.
With a start like that you might get away planning a honeymoon at Oshkosh.

Best of luck,

Bill

That is great! Congrats

So she knows / understands that you’re addicted to warbirds, right? My wife didn't really understand what she was signing on to in regards to airshows, Museums... At first she had the hope it was a phase
