Thanks. That's our '6. We'll put its IL ANG markings from '55 on over the winter.

Wow Greg, that looks awesome. You really need to post some before and after photos. I wouldn't have believed that you could get that polish before passing through the metal.

65 years old, and never polished! Rolite Pre-Polish (1/2 the price of Nuvite), then Nuvite F-7 and S to finish it off. I love the look, and don't mind the maintenance (yet), but one thing I didn't anticipate, and really don't like, is the glare off the wings while flying. I'm tempted to paint the wings with the Poly Fiber Aerothane Nevada Silver w/ flattener for eggshell finish. That's what I'm using on the bottoms of the wings.

It's an old friend of yours. It's a Chino bird from Tallichet's storage yard. PS I've found another trick regarding polishing, go to the local Good Will Store and buy 100% cotton flannel sheets for polishing. It's a lot cheaper than fleece, but finish it off with the good fleece from Perfect Polish.

Looks fantastic. Did you do any sanding, or polish only?

No sanding. Rolite Pre-Polish & Nuvite "F7" with Makita variable-speed buffer, and "S" with Cyclo-Polisher.

WOW! I have not seen your T-6 for a while and it sure did not look like it does in these photos. I love that you are going with the IL ANG colors. Very cool!

It was at O'Hare from '53 to '55.
