Greetings all,

I have buy one large canvas and I will paint one Hellcat in the air battle. Problem is that I still have no idea what this would be, I am looking for something epic (like the French pilot who shot down three Bf109 in 15 seconds). One of the options could be battle over Matsuyama where Hellcat get bitter punch from Shidenkai fighters but as I know three Hellcats managed to shot enemy.

So what is your idea for this painting? Any suggestion? Any pilot or battle?

Thank you for attention :)

Cheers :)

How about Lieutenant Alexander Vraciu aboard U.S.S. Lexington who downed six Japanese "JUDY" dive bombers in a span of eight minutes during the First Battle of the Philippine Sea, 19 June 1944.
