Hello all,

I'm looking to find a Navy carrier ready room chair. I've been searching the internet for one but so far I've been unable to find one.

Does anyone have a good idea on how to find one? I've never searched the government re-sale system, or even know how to look for one in the system.

If anyone can help that'd be great

Peter

They do show up on eBay from time to time.
Be prepared to pay $600.00 up as they are
in high demand.

You might put in a call to All Star Metals of Brownsville, Texas, as the ex-USS Ranger (CV-61) was just towed out of Bremerton (WA) on the beginning of her journey down there for scrapping. Perhaps they would sell you a ready room chair. Also, look online for who is scrapping ex-USS Forrestal (CV-59) and ex-USS Saratoga (CV-60) down in Brownsville, as they also are down there being scrapped...or soon will be.

I believe that All Star is doing all 3 carriers.

I would be shocked if any of these carriers being scrapped had the ready room chairs, still. These ships are stripped of anything useful and I'd bet that many a former carrier jock who's flying a desk now with 'shinny stuff' on their collars probably accounted for most (if not all) of them.

I can save you a series of calls. From Forrestal to Sara, to Connie to Ranger
they are gone. They do show up on eBay from time to time. Be prepared to
pay.
