The INSPECTOR wrote in the 2011 Restorations thread.
Hey N3N jeff, could you prompt the owner of one of those to do it in USCG markings? the pictures in the Coastie John photo posting sure would look cool if done in 3D and color instead of B&W and 2D

So not to polute "Coastie" thread on his pics,

There are more in Coast Guard markings then the USCG had!!

That's why I love this place! You can count on someone reading a post and thinking "Hey, I've got a couple pictures of those" I was just conjecturing that the USCG life ring/anchors would look cool, they were/are the one piece missing from Merrill Wiens former Widgeon.

Does anyone know why Baughers Coast Guard s/n site isn't responding? I get a '404' whrenever I try to go to it.

Thanks John, I had the V numbers but never the bureau!!!! I also never knew about the -1's serving the USCG.

4420 is the north by northwest airplane............its pictured above in its current USCG markings with ship number 20.

I had my picture taken in front of this N3N-3, c/n 2582 in September 1977 at EAA Chapter 124 picnic in Santa Rosa, CA. Oh to be 20 again!
