I understand the current plans call for it to stay in French markings initially, and to change to US markings after the airshow season, see this thread

The F8F BEARCAT is in the Great State of TEXAS. On it's way to Nelson Ezell place for a few days, then on to Chino for some more work and looking at things. When the decsion is made for airshows I will post them here, and on the www.pofairshows.com site as well. This is a great machine, and Ray has been lookin for this date.!!
