How close are we to having the last man opening the bottle and toasting his late friends? my heros are leaving us at a very rapid rate.As much as this pains me,I can do nothing to stop this. This generations survivors and members since past, are truely my heros!

I'll have to keep my eye on this. I'd love to meet some of the Raiders and even talk to Glines. I read "Four Came Home" about a dozen times from my elementary school library when I was a kid. I'd especially like to meet Hite, whose story was featured prominently in that book.

From the schedule, it looks like they'll be having an airshow. Wonder how many B-25s they'll try to get?

I'm sure that we all have seen "30 seconds over Tokyo" but how many have actually read the book? The book goes much deeper into the journey that Ted Lawson and crew went through. It also shows how close to death he was and how much danger his Chinese saviors put themselves thru. Its a great book and I highly recommend it to any person who is into the Doolittle raid. You only know part of the raid story if you have not read this book.

I don't mean to be morbid or anything, but I am curious. The chalices have been on display at the NMUSAF for the past few years now. Sadly it seems every time I visit one or two more have been turned over, indicating that Raider has Gone West. Is there some sort of ceremony when a chalice is inverted? It will definitely be a sad day when the final one is turned over.
