I stopped by the CAvM yesterday to see what is going on.
I first noticed that the P-51D (alias Mustang Mk IV) has been moved from it's well known place in the collection. I know that it was to go to a new spot in the storage hanger, so I assume it is there now.
I stepped outside and noticed the CF-188 is now parked outside. The DC-9 is parked in front of the storage hangers doors, and from what I understand it will be the next to go inside. Further down the ramp towards the runway was the Viscount and it kind of looks like it is second in line to go inside after the 9.
The Argus has been parked on the other side of the runway on the flying club side. Apparently it won't be kept there for long since it is one heavy airframe and they are afraid it could damage the tarmac if it remains parked there for a long time.
Back inside the main building the aircraft from the storage section are slowly being revealed. One side of the B-24 is also in full view, i.e. no other airframes blocking the view. I am crossing my fingers and hoping to see it outside some time. The Kittyhawk is supposed to move into the P-51's spot. I expect they will move it to it's new position by moving it outside, so I am looking forward to seeing that happen if I can visit the museum at the right time.
Regards,
Mike
