Former Dick Foote FM-2 owned by Mustang Aviation Partners? AND BOOKING RIDES?!? 8) AWESOME.

So glad that particular FM-2 wasn't redone back to stock condition. Thats one post war mod I think suites the Wildcat really well. I'd think somebody should consider doing that to another FM-2 if the right one became available. What I thought was a fighter that nobody would ever be able to ride in due to the overall structure, here we have now a Wildcat that can give rides. Thats so cool.

Wow! What a great looking line up. :D

4 B-25's, Fifi, a C-46! I cant wait.

I am glad to see Tinkerbelle is back out on the show circuit. I take it she was sold from the CAF? I've never seen a "live" C-46 before.

Missed the C-46.

It is great to see some new aircraft in the lineup. For a few years it was getting pretty routine. Good but routine. It is always great to see some new aircraft added.

Just thought I would bump this thread with the following announcement:

Starting today 7 March 2011 you can begin registering for rides on the only airworthy B-29 "FIFI" during the MAAM WWII weekend. By booking now you will help the CAF B-29/B-24 Squadron and the MAAM. MAAM will be handling the booking for rides on "FIFI" during the weekend for a portion of the proceeds.

We plan on arriving Thursday, with the first rides on Friday. There will be up to six flights on Friday, with up to four flights each day during the weekend. We suggest that you book early to ensure that you have a seat.

The bombardier seat is $1295, Cockpit seat $995, crew compartment $695

more information available at the MAAM website
http://www.maam.org/wwii/ww2_rides_b29.htm

Hope to see many of you there!
