Hey T-6 Experts:
I'm replcaing the windshield in the 6, and know there are some things to be careful of. First, you've got to be careful to put the windshield gently in, because any side to side motion will crack it. Has anyone sucessfully put the windshield in on the first try w/o cracking it? The maintenence guy at the CAF Dixie Wing told me he went through 3 installation attempts each time cracking the windshield. (This set him back $400 each attempt) So he bought a mylar version.
Also are you putting the caulking around the front of the windshiled like they did in the factory, or are you putting in the rubber?
