Well guys, since I will be off to Europe in less than a week, I'd like to try to fix a time/place for those of us that will make the DUX event this year.

Unless someone has a better idea, how about at the base of the tower, next to the press tent, at noon on saturday the 9th. I would suggest we somehow affix a little tag to our hat or shirt with a readable WIX on it.
I'll recognize Martin and TJ, but that's about it. From the fews posts a couple weeks ago, it looked like there might be 6 or 8 of us there.
any other suggestions???

The friday evening at the Eagle sounds fine, but will everybody be there by then. I won't be in the area until late thursday evening.

I'm not making it up to Dux until Saturday morning. At the tower by noon sounds good. (Unless you're talking about the Tower of London!!! Shiver....)

Hi all

sorry to report that due to new developments at my job (upcoming & closing of an important deal with large scale transactions) I cannot make Legends this year (again !)

I am highly frustrated at this, but I see & accept the fact that my presence here really is important and may lead to a job-enrichment (on various levels) for me in the months to come.

I would have loved to meet all you guys but this will happen at another opportunity. I will attend the Autumn Air Show in Duxford on 16th Oct (/already booked !) to meet some UK friends, and for the fellow from 'over the pond' I will definitely be at Reno in June 2006 for the great Mustang Gathering.

Sorry folks - it wasn't meant to be.

Martin

How about this....The Eagle on Friday evening (time to be negotiated)
AND the base of the control tower on Saturday. That way, those who won't be there on Friday won't miss meeting all the excitement  of meeting the troops.

Mudge the organizer

ps...Those of you who enjoyed TOO MANY pints on Friday, can stand in the shade of the tower on Saturday. :P

Not sure if I count as a WIXer as I don't post much, but I'll be there as well at Duxford.

Guess that means the Minnesota contingent is 2 as unless Dick Phillips has moved. I understood he lives in Apple Valley and I'm in Rosemount just next door.

If I get the chance, I'll come over & say 'Hi' as well, though I'll probably spend the day with the other 'FlyPast' guys.

Geoff.

Hopefully I'll see a few of you over the weekend. I'm staying a couple of miles from the Red Lion so it's very possible that I'll be found there in the evenings.

I am staying in Sawston and will try to make it to the Red Lion either on the Saturday or Sunday night. In order to meet with both WIX and Flypast forumites that will mean one night with each group. Which night will be the best at the Red Lion during the weekend?

It's more likely that it'll be busier on the Saturday night since people will pop in after the show and many will be staying over locally. Many people will be heading home after the show on Sunday so they'll probably only pop in for an hour or two.

For all of you about to set off for Duxford, have a safe journey and I look forward to meeting some of you during the weekend.

If you see this man please place a beer in his hand.

So is anyone heading for The Eagle on Friday evening?

I can be there (Virgin Atlantic permitting) if anyone else is planning to go.
