I was driving past Duxford today ( no really I was ~ honest ) and I spotted the Fighter Collections Sea Fury outside. That meant there was a good chance to get a clear pic of the P-47 in the hangar. So I pressed on home for the camera bag and returned

Walking into the TFC hangar I was amazed to find the Thunderbolt was off the jacks and now has the prop fitted ! ( A lot of progress from last Friday !! )

And it had been moved down the hangar to the doors at the far end .....

I don't know if it will be ready to fly in time for Flying Legends in July

I don't know what paint scheme will be chosen by the TFC

I do know it looks AWESOME

Absolutely fabulous to see a 'Razorback' in England. Very historically fitting.

Awesome! The razorback Jug has got to be near the top of my "favorites" list. Too bad she isn't sporting a Curtis Electric but if the Ham Standard is what it takes to get her flying then I can live with it! :)

VERY cool! The last time I was at Duxford the P-47 was a disassembled pile of parts on the floor and on the shelves. And the Sea Fury was just the forward part of the fuselage and center-section of the wing up on jacks...so if they 'moved it', they must be making good progress on that as well.

I just love Duxford. Wish I could just be 'driving past'like you. The commute is a bit of a bitch.
