A Hasselblad or a Konica would have been my next logical step, had Digital not come up so fast with such quality.
Mamiya was also in my sights; dad used to own a Voigtlander.
I still shoot film (have been shooting film since 1972) but recently made the transition to digital. There is no comparison in my eyes; the colors seem vivid with the digital more so than with a film camera.
Dunno about set-up though.

I don't shoot with medium or large format cameras...wedded to my trusty Nikon F3 for now. I shoot almost exclusively with either slide film or plain old black and white. I rarely shoot anything planned, just spur of the moment, grab the camera type shots, so with the slide film I don't have to worry about the grain on blowups.
I've been using very slow b&w for copying old photos, but will conver to digital one of these days.

I must be a relic from the past, but I still occasionally shoot with my 4x5 Speed Graphic and 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 ROLLEI. You haven't lived until you try taking air to air or air to ground photos with the 4x5 press camera from an Ercoupe. Been there and done that !
I loved shooting b&w film in those cameras.
Unfortunately most of my stuff is digital these days.

I use all digital. It's easier to print, to archive and to store. I keep 3 copies of all my shots, my hard drive, a back-up hard drive and a cd.
I would guess that 97% of regular people looking at photo's can not tell and don't care either way whether they were shot on film or digital.
Just wish I had $7k to spare on a full-frame body!

After seeing the great shots on this board, I traded in my F4s Nikon for a Canon 20D and some L lenses. I like what I see so far.
Cheers,
Lynn
