Is Tom Reilly's place still closed? If so will it reopen with a new owner?

WOW,

I didn't think Tom Reilly was getting out of the buisness. I thought he still had many projects on the schedule, especially with that B-17 that was raised from the lake in Labrador being sent to him (?) to put back into flight worthy condition.

The hangar is open daily and you can walk around and look at the various planes that still remain there. There are no tours and the gift shop has been closed since last August. The two mechanics are working on the P-40 wing and the S-2 Tracker to complete the final restorations.
Killer Bee (B-25) has been reloctaed to Douglas, GA where Reilly is working on Don Brooks newly acquired B-17 from Canada.
The negotiations for new ownership of the museum property have been going on for almost a year now. The results of this will be taking place real soon. The future plans for the warbird side of the airport seem to be for something very, very big and completely different than what existed before.

I might be in central FL next month. Besides the remnant of Flying Tigers, are there any other publicly accessible locations for us "penguins" to take some pictures? I've been to Flying Tigers (I got some snaps of the
WA birds also), Fantasy of Flight and Sun and Fun, so you don't need to list those.

PS. My definition of penguin is an enthusiast that isn't part of the active warbird community. I try my best to be a benign one.

I guess that I would have to say the VAC at Titusville and NASA while you are there. You could also run up to New Smyrna Beach airport to see American Aero Services.
Thats all I can think of right now.

In my experience the Whittingtons haven't generally been the nicest people with respect to warbird enthusiasts dropping in to visit.

I do this on a regular basis and I normally get lucky.

Again, just out of curiosity, what is there in FL ? What d they have or had ?

I remember seeing a pic of the Zero they had for sale on Barnstromer some years ago.

If I remember well, it was the famous Atlanta Zero. They where offering it for sale restored or not.

Anyone know if they still have it ?
