I have been notifed that the Omega purchase of the ex RAAF stored Boeing 707 tankers at RAAF Richmond is supposively cancelled and now not going ahead. The RAAF 707 fleet flew many combat missions in the last 10years of their service, so they are truly warbirds as much as any fighter.

Now that Omega is not getting these 707 , there are indicators that the RAAF Museum at Point Cook is now likely to pick the airframes up. Are any other Australian museums likely to be able to acquire any of these 707s?

Phil
