I was at the NMUSAF the other day and noticed for the first time that the serials for both the JetStar and King Air were painted on plates which were removable via frames mounted to the tail.
Since JetStars were often used for sensitive overseas trips, I can sort of understand that, but the blue and white 89th paint scheme would pretty much do away with any covert success...but the King Air?
Wonder if the JetStar on display always had the White House paint scheme?
Anyone know more?
