Is it possible to view his planes in his hanger in Livonia, MI? If so where is it located exactly?

First time poster here...

About two years ago my dad and I went to the Yankee Air Museum at Willow Run to check out the museum and the airport. I had heard about Willow Run because of the B-24's built there but didn't know much of the history. After visiting the museum, we drove around til we got to the other side of the field and the airport. My dad grew up in Detroit and lived there when Willow Run was the main airport for Detroit and so he recognized the old control tower building but not much else. There were some Kalitta Air cargo jets and Dassault Falcons along with some DC-7's I believe. Willow Run is a major cargo airport now. We walked into the reception area for one of the cargo carriers and met a guy who we started talking to...my dad asked a bunch of questions about old operations there and the guy then walked us out to a hangar next to the office. It was part of the old B-24 assembly line and there were several cargo jets being worked on inside. Off to the side though was an L-39 that was all dressed up in Marine colors. Turns out it belongs to a guy named Bob Lutz (I think), a former Marine aviator. We asked about Roush's P-51 and the guy said that he had seen it but then he kind of clammed up about things.

So I don't know what that means, exactly. But it might be at the Willow Run airport. I'll check with my dad and find out if he knows anything more about the Mustang.

I spoke with someone at the museum and they told me that his aircraft were on the other side of the flightline(airport).

umm..not really sure. Beginner's luck, I guess, although I wasn't trying to do that. I couldn't get any of the pics on my harddrive to fit so I went to photobucket.com and uploaded a few. Then I linked this picture to the site. I'll fix it.

Hi CF (et al)--

Next weekend should be a prime opportunity to see Mr Roush's Mustangs (well, two of them anyway), as they are slated to be at YAF's airshow at Willow Run. Mr Roush has three Mustangs, two flying Ds and a B being restored/"reincarnated" from a wreck recovered in Florida. Mr Roush is a close friend to 357th FG ace Bud Anderson, and consequently his Mustangs wear that group's classy-looking livery with the red/yellow checkered noses. One of the Ds is painted as Anderson's "Old Crow"; the other was painted as Chuck Yeager's "Glamorous Glen III" but apparently has now been renamed "Gentleman Jim", which I think was another 357FG 'stang. The B is to be finished as John England's "U've Had It" of the same group, or so I've heard. Mr Roush's enthusiasm for the 357th even extends to a business jet he also owns, which wears 357FG-like red and yellow checks over silver...a very striking looking bird. There's a website with some good pix of the Roush Mustangs (and the bizjet...and, BTW, a Mexican Ford Mustang painted as Anderson's '51! ). IIRC the URL is <www.cebudanderson.com>...

Roush's Mustangs along with his T-6 are hangared at Willow Run. I was cruising the Zantop and Kalitta ramps and the hangar was open.
