This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future
This is the third year of this event at Ellington Field. There were a lot more planes this year (I missed last year's event) than the 1st year and although very few flew, it was an enjoyable event. The Texas Flying Legends, Collings Foundation, and the CAF's West Houston Squadron were represented . Unfortunately I deleted the front shots of the Texas Legends planes from my memory card while it was still in the camera.
This one wasn't in the show-was in front of a hanger about 100 yards away.
It was a neat little show. I thought it was really odd that they decided to display all of the low-rider cars in the middle of all of the airplanes. I know when I think of warbird aircraft, the first thing that pops into my head are a bunch of rough low riders.
