G'day all, after some info from any of the current restorers on fitting the main fuel cell into the fuse of the Corsair particularly the -5.Curious to know if anyone has had a new cell manufactured and if the tank bay was lined before installation as the new tank would be a bag type rather than the old self sealing free standing type,if a new type of cell was fitted did all the existing plumbing get retained or a simplified version installed?Best regards,Pete

You might ask the guys over at American Aero Services, as they restored the Collings Foundation's F4U-5.

You might also ask the guys at Vintage Fighters, who restored an FG-1D a few years back. There are some good shots of the fuel bay restoration on their website... http://www.bentwings.com/fg1d3/photoset31.htm

Best of luck!

All the best,
