Just wanted to update everyone on what's been happening with the Franklin's since their accident just over a month ago.
The good news is Kyle was released from the Hospital but still recovers from his burns from trying to pull Amanda from the burning plane. He has been updating her condition almost daily via their facebook page which you can see here (no need to be a member)
https://www.facebook.com/franklins.flyi ... s?sk=notesIf you read back through his posts you will see that Amanda has been up and down in her recovery and most recently is the closest to losing her life since the accident happened due to infections. She doesn't have enough skin to do all the graphs that need to be done so they have been applying cadaver skin to keep infections down until there is enough regenerated to do so. She has been awake and sedated. Her first words were "Help me" which was heartbreaking to read. She has had to have all of her fingers amputated except for I believe her left thumb. It's all in the updates.
If you pray, they need all you have to offer.
If you want to help financially there are many ways to help.
One of the newest ways is a $20 Benefit DVD put together by AirshowStuff Online Magazine where 100% of profits will go to the Franklin's
Order a copy here--->

I personally can't confirm it but I have complete faith in the three i've listed to get the donations where they need to go.
If you're not sure feel free to contact any of the organizations for reassurance.

The Moonlight folks will definitely be giving 100% of the donations earmarked for the Franklins to them. One of the Moonlight Fund founders was at the Burnet airshow to talk to the pilots about the Franklins and efforts to help them and I talked with her. Have fliers that I'm posting locally here in San Antonio.

Heartbreaking post from Kyle last night on Facebook. Amanda's been placed on "Comfort Care" and her prognosis is very bad.
Please keep all the Younkins and the Franklins in your prayers.
She will be missed.

This is not good. I never met either one of them or saw them perform but I am heartbroken.

Sad to hear she has taken a turn. I've been following on Facebook and it has been very tough to read some of the updates, I cannot imagine how tough it must be for the Franklins.

Terribly sad news this morning. We will keep their whole family in our prayers.
For Amanda.
For Kyle's strength and understanding.
For the family's peace.

God Bless em, they have put up a good fight. I dreaded opening the Caring Bridge email this morning, knowing that she was not doing well.
My Thoughts & Prayers are with them.

Placing a loved one on comfort care after a long battle like this is one of the most difficult things any person will ever be faced with. I have been a paramedic for 25 years and have seen these things before and had to face it with a family member. It is not something anyone would ever want to deal with.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. May God bless them all.
darn. This is so sad.

I had hoped for the best. I am just devastated to read this.
