Just read the Quad City Airshow is inviting Stearman owners to attend en masse for their 25th Anniversary show...aiming for 25 Stearmans for their opening.

June 18-19 for those interested.

I just heard there was to be a large Stearman gathering on the West Coast later this year. Any one have Details? N3N Jeff ought to be up on it!

Well the show is next weekend, anyone on here heading to it? Anyone else know of any other warbirds that will be there? I'll be there Friday-Sunday.

There's a chance I'll be there.

I realize this is a weird request, but if anyone is flying in on Friday morning and would like some "different perspective" shots of their aircraft, I have a little spot at the end of 15 at KDVN that affords some interesting approach pictures. Here's some samples from last year:

So, if you have the option, LAND 15!!!!

Well, there's this...the biennial Northwest Biplane Fly-In at Felts Feld, Spokane July15-17.

I can't say for sure but probably 20+ - Stearmans (including a few square tails) usually attend.

And don't be put off by the name, a lot of vintage monoplanes show up as well. :)

Thank you Vlado and whoever the TBM pilot was, as well as Paul for the passes today! A taste, still working on some:

I see you "moved up" in camera body from last year. How are you liking the 7D?

Like anything new, it takes some fiddling with to get it to work right. This isn't quite the best show to figure this out as its HORRIBLY back-lit. The end of the runway stuff this morning was great and to have the faster shutter really comes in handy for the quick action. Its a big leap from the 400D that I had so I'll for sure be learning a ton.
