Working at the CASC shop tomorrow to help get ready for the Open House were having (July 9th and 10th). Maybe I'll even show up for Tuesday. Either way I'll be doing nothing for July 4th! Relaxation! Yes!

The Blues have been tearing up the sky around here for the past couple days. I parked off the end of the main runway and watched their practice on my way home from work Thursday afternoon. The wife and I are planning to go to the airshow on Sunday, then stay for the fireworks. I may break the grill out on Monday, weather permitting.

As usual, when I came to work tonight the "civilian" fireworks were already starting up in our neighborhood. It'll sound like downtown Kabul after dark all weekend. It's amazing, considering how bad the economy is, people in our part of town will still manage to shoot off thousands of dollars worth of fireworks (90% of which are illegal in this state!)

Happy Independence Day everybody! :drink3:
