I saw a piece on Ch 9 news in LA Mon night shot in the P-38 hangar at March Field ( I think it has the 475th FG memorabilia). There was a P-38 in the hangar with Tony Levier painted underneath the cockpit. Can't believe it's not real.

I was there in February. At the time the docent indicated they once had a real P-38, but the owner sold it out from under them. The volunteer group working on the P-38 (former P-38 crew) were disappointed so they made a replica. I don't remember the type of materials, but apparently the result is rather convincing!

Yeah that's why I titled it P-38....as I was in the middle of asking if someone knew which one it was then decided to google it. It totally had me fooled on the news last night, didn't even think it was a replica.
