Very funny.

First, it's my niece, not my nephew.

Secondly, she's in the FIFTH grade and should know better.

Thirdly, I thought you had no free time during Airventure? :axe:

What was it Eisenhower said?
"We are not going to Normandy unless we can achieve Local Air Supremacy and overall Air Superiority?"

If it was good enough for Ike it is good enough for me.

In the fifth grade I did a oral presentation of the workings of the Air Defense Command.
This is circa 1965....
I described Norad, the DEW, Mid-Canada, and Pine Tree lines as well as the interceptor types in use.

The teacher had NO idea what I was talking about, so I got a good grade.

While in high school, my son decided to do a report on the Vietnam War FACs (I just can't imagine why). The teacher had to approve the subject and I expected a "NO" but she approved. I gave him some of my books and said go for it. I did proof for grammar and spelling only in the end and was pleasantly suprised that he really did his research well and even included a picture of a funny looking black plane. Teacher sent home a note asking me if I had written it but gave him a A. When I spoke to her, I convinced her I only provided material, no writing. I realized she did not have a clue. . However, I was pleasantly suprised that she said she was going to do some further research on that war.

Yes, I did....but part of it pretty well described the way our children are taught history these days if they even get any history at all. War is not PC nor sensitive.

And that, ladies in gentlemen, perfectly describes why my wife refuses to watch any WWII related movie with me! :axe:

I did a demonstration on how to disassemble a Japanese artillery round in second grade. It was well-received. I did a repeat performance in the third grade and my teacher freaked-out!

Good one, James!

Here's an example of the onion for those that are uninformed.
