I was pleased they still have Dean Hess' (and worn by Rock Hudson in the film) helmet at the NMUSAF.

I say surprised because a lot of the older exhibits are MIA...

Ryan took over navion production after NA found out they couldn't make a profit selling them for $7995.00

Republic made the SeaBee and learned the same lesson.
Namely, the "market research" that told heavy Iron makers that people (returning vets) would pay $5000 for a four place plane proved to be optimistic and they cost a lot more to build than they thought.
