I have been told that the B-17 "belle" rudder was damaged a week ago. Is it back up?

I heard that it was fixed. Don't know for sure though. Someone told me the damage was from some bad weather. Any conformation?

The word I received from the 1941 HAG crew was that winds or something damaged the A/C in NJ. They did not sound too concerned about it missing the Airshow at Geneseo because of it.

I asked about a B-25 and A-26 that was going to be heading to the HAG Museum, the repairs to fairy them were put on hold to get the Belle back into the air.

I didn't know about the B-25 and A-26. Which ones are they?

David Tallichet's from what I was told, or remember. I guess the A-26 needs some love before it can be flown up to Geneseo and I'm not too sure what state the B-25 is in. I was hoping that they would arrive before the Airshow this weeknd (they were expected mid June). But that is not going to happen.

Maybe a quick stop on the way out to Thunder?

Is the B-25 the one that was based at maps? I did not know that dave has a A-26 still. He said awile back that he only had the B-17, and B-25 for airshows, untill the A-20 is up. Do you know if the A-26 is some what stock?

Where is the B-25 these days? Lancaster Ohio? It hasn't been at MAPS for quite a while.

The A-26 must be the bird the guys at Lancaster are restoring. I believe it is s/n 44-34104. It is still owned by Dave. I haven't heard that they finished the work, or that it has flown, so they must still be working on it. HAS also has the hulk of a second A-26 as well.

My understanding is that the A-26 in question is the one being restored in Lancaster and it has not flow yet.

I'm not really sure which B-25 is it.

The HAGs C-47 is in D-Day colors with “3H” on the Nose.
http://www.1941hag.org/files_fleet/c_47.html

There was another C-47 there last year, which was a Schenectady NY for several years. I think that was one of David T’s aircraft also. It seemed to leave Schenectady about the same time as the B-26 and other aircraft. I think I have a picture of that on my Webshots page –Geneseo 2004.

Rob Can you fill in blanks here and/ or Correct me?

Ok I now know what A-26 it is. Thank you, Tim.
What is the story on the B-23 that is listed on the HAG show site?

If it IS the A-26 that my squadron has been working on, it's news to me that it is supposed to be going anywhere. As far as the B-25 is concerned, if it's the one that Tallichet left at Fairfield County Airport after our ahow two years ago, it is pretty much a birds nest right now. We get little information from him on what he finally intends to do with it.

As of Friday the Belle was still in NJ, the Rudder was in Geneseo being recovered from wind damage.
