P-40N s/n 43-22786 was recently discovered in China. 2Lt Robert H. Upchurch of the 74th FS 23rd Fg was lost on Oct 10, 1944 on his 1st combat mission. The location is a Shangpushu which is about 50 miles east of Chenshie. The Lts body has been recovered and DNA test are being conducted to verify his remains. So another vet soon will come home.
