Well this ones OK as I'm currently working at Heathrow, but haven't been able to get in touch with stepson yet, but the mobile networks have been largely turned over to the emergency services, so hope that's all the problem is.

My thoughts go out to the people and families involved.

Apparently not. I am just waking up to this now, and don't really have a full picture of what is going on. My codolences to any of those hurt and they families of the dead (reported as two so far).

As a longtime London resident (though thankfully not even in the country any more) I can fully empathise with the Londoners in this awful situation.

This is the worst such event London has faced, but is not unprecidented. I travelled through Victoria Station in the eighties 1 hour before a bomb went off, and had to deal with two (minor) bombs in my central London career. Not much fun for civilians. The IRA and Animal Liberationists were the culprits then. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Terrorism is nothing new for Londoners, nor bombs, but London's infrastructure is facing great difficulties anyway. My thoughts are with my old fellows. The next few days are going to be no fun.

For Flying Legends or UK bound WIXers, don't worry about risk of death (the roads of London are still more leathal than terrorism) but do expect a difficult time getting around.

London is the terminus for most train and coach services for southern England. The ripple effect will be severe.

Anyone travelling to Duxford (or around the UK) will find that as by far the largest city in the country and the absolute transport hub of (at least) Southern England, the impact on public transport will be serious over the next few days at least, even without the hightened 'stable door' security which will kick in.

The current casualty toll is 33 people have lost their lives on the underground, plus an unknown number on a bus that was blown up.

Advice at the moment is not to travel into London tonight, but all the mainline stations except one are now open. The underground hope to be running a service tomorrow, but of course the tunnels where the explosions were will remain shut for sometime to come.

Re Legends, I still intend to go & may have to travel thtrough central London to do it, but hopefully things will improve still further by Saturday or Sunday.

My work often takes me to London but fortunately(!) not today and after hearing the news, my initial thoughts were ones of anger and revenge but having thought about it further, thats just the response that these bastards want, creating an ever increasing circle of violence and I although I am finding it difficult, we all need to remain calm and carry on with our lives as normally as possible.

On a side note, I feel that the News companies have a valuable job to do in times like these but isn't the continuous feed of the events just feeding these trolls?

Although, I feel that we should carry on, we must not forget those that have lost their lives or their families and those injured and as such my thought's, as I'm sure that everyones thoughts will, are for those directly effected.

It is also time that we should reflect and remember those effected in New York, Bali, Madrid which, with London, will now be forever linked together

I'm will still be going to Duxford on Sunday but stay safe everyone
