It looks that way on facebook...
Anyone know the details?
Is it a CAF bird now or just on loan to the Utah Wing?

I believe it is a CAF Utah Wing member owned aircraft....rather than CAF owned. But things may have changed recently too. I will defer to those better "in the know."

I would beleive member owned aircraft, .................................the CAF is in the business of selling airplanes, not buying them.

Now Cuz! The CAF is only selling aircraft that nobody wants to support. Every one that has been sold has been offered up for "adoption" for long periods of time, but no takers. If the CAF wanted to just sell off planes, you'd think they would liquidate some B-25's. The CAF goals only say one of each type of combat aircraft, not as many as possible. But we have 5 flying and one under restoration B-25/PBJ types. At least three Mustangs, and the list goes on and on. The reason we have so many copies of many planes is that they have people who are interested in supporting them to keep them flying. If nobody wants to support a plane the CAF owns, would it be better to put it out in the field or the corner of a hangar to collect dust and rot away, or to sell it to someone who will take care of it and most likely keep it flying?

Pardon me now while I take another sip of my Kool-Aid.

You been sipping to long. How many chances were you given to take on the JU-52? Killed that squadron (Ya I know they ain't got no money). But how much money would it require for it to sit in the corner of your hangar (or Midland for that matter). The list will continue to grow, and money on it, one of those B-25s will be on the block before too long.

I am suprised Dave hasn't jumped on this.....Dave is a CAF member, and the CAF has a wing there in Heber City, Ut. , where Dave lives, and bases Attu Warrior. As far as I know, Dave is still sole owner of AW......

I don't believe the PV has been acquired by the CAF. It was on display here at HQ for several months after Airsho. I believe the owners were seeking a buyer: perhaps someone at the Utah Wing is interested?

Re: Ober's continuing rants...it is simply sad.

I live here in UT and yes I would like to find a partner in the PV-2...anything is for sale for the right price  and the aircraft WILL be wintering at Midland again after AIRSHOW. It is Not a CAF aircraft...but would like to keep it on task with regard to the CAF's mission :D
