Correction, it made its first flight roughly a month ago, can anyone verify this?

It flew once. The engine made metal and is being re-built.

Sounds like they got the new engine installed in time for Reno... that's great news! I talked to Bob Odegaard a few weeks ago, and he was pretty confident this would happen. Any photos yet?

Cheers,
Richard

This is absolutely fantastic!!! I have my finger crossed #74 will make it to Reno. I am very much looking forward to seeing it.

Next year maybe, they won't be there this year.

According to FB, they hope to have the motor back and be in the air before the snow flies. No Reno this year.

Well we shall see. Seems that they now do have another motor hung, but have not flown it yet. Lots of thrashing going on in the last week before Reno.

From this thread it sounds like they are thrashing to get to Reno. It may very well happen!
