I bought this panel in Germany last year - It was sold as Ju52 from a well known wreck site. When it arrived it did not appear to be Ju52 (square profile and edges are not crimped).

It has been suggested that from the rivets that it is from a US aircraft.

Anyone able to make a suggestion?

it is about 1 foot across.

Thank you for your help.

Just a quick question - the B24 had similar profile sections in the floor and bomb bay.

Were there any access hatches in these areas. Secondly would any part be anodised.

thanks

I have a few turtle bones and freckle cream jars as well...

Any suggestions as to what aircraft to look for this part in that may have ended up in Germany?

I think you said it yourself as it looks VERY similar to some pieces I hiked out of a B-24 site here in the states.

Too many sharp bends for Lockheed P-38(P-38 is semi-circular). Looks a very similar pattern to P-47 cockpit, but I dont recognise the outline of the piece though. No numbers on it anywhere? Maybe an 89- for Republic P-47 or 32- for Consolidated B-24.

Sorry -absolutely no markings or part numbers on it!

It has a gold anodising to the upper and lower surfaces. Were any parts in the P47 or B24 anodised ?
