Hi all. I know my country has a rich history of aviation, which is often overlooked, so I thought I would post some pics of a recent visit to the National Museum of Flight, at East Fortune, Scotland . Only got to see the Concorde , and reserve and restoration hangar, as girlfriends father, a WW2 Navy veteran, was feeling a bit tired. Hope to visit again to catch the rest.

The Concorde was truly awe inspiring close up. I had last seen it in the air ! The Beaufighter remains, and Bollingbroke restoration were amazing to.

East Fortune has always been a great museum, and being an Airfield Anorak I really like that there are a number of once-common building types still standing on site as well as the aircraft.
But the greatest impact for me comes after you pass through the entrance and down the corridor, and the nose of Concorde comes into view to your right. :)

Yes Paul, it truly is amazing to catch that first glimpse of Concorde! My girlfriend had tears in her eyes!! And me.......welll!!!!
There are many original buildings, it does look like an airfield of the past, which is great, when so many are gone, or under threat.

A couple more, as I said, it was a flying visit!
