Checked out the video. How good is that! :D
It's amazing that the most produced military aircraft in history has only one airworthy survivor now.

This post makes up for some of the silliness that has been floating around WIX of late. Thanks for sharing that link!

Wow! That's fabulous news! Where did this happen, when, and who owns it?

Cheers,
Richard

Kool!! :drink3:

Couldn't understand a word of the narration, other than "Shturmovik" (although I didn't mind watching that reporter!) Does this aircraft have an original Russian engine, or an Allison? Prop appears to rotate in the opposite direction of US aircraft, so I'm assuming it's a Russian powerplant.

Was this aircraft rebuilt for a Western collector, or is it strictly a Russian-based project? It's certainly great to see perhaps the most important VVS aircraft from the Great Patriotic War back in the air.

Holy Cow! That is AWESOME!

Honestly couldn't get enough of the vid - will have to go back and watch it a couple of times.

Any word on the owner? Curious to see where it will go or if it is going to stay where it is.

Mike
