Yesterday, while driving from Salt lake to Hamer idaho, Istopped by Pacifac fighters and was able to view some of the happening in the hanger. They had the TP-51B toward the ffront of the hanger and was not able to get a good look but from what I could see it loked great. Bare metal with all the insignia painted on. I was told this is a temp job for Oshkosh. They also Had F4U-4 Corsair NX240CA Max Chapmans Corsair in there. They had a Skyraider undergoing its annual. They also had a TBM avenger inside the shop , T-6, Another P-51 Project, and A P-51 Wing. Outside they had they Skyshark and it was painted in a Navy Gloss blue. They also had another TBM avenger and an F-86D. They also had the center section of another mustang outside. It was a good stop and they were very friendly letting me look through the shop I have Some photos which I will post when I get home next week.

Thanks for the news Eric,
Obviously a first flight for the TP-51B (and here I thought it was a TP-51C

) is close. Any hints on exactly when (and can any WIXers
be there for photos?)?
