This Tracker is for sale. It's been sitting at Mather Field, Rancho Cordova, CA for about 8 years.

I wonder how much work will be involved in getting it to ferry status? It seems (to the under educated) that Taigh's harpoon took minimal work to get it to fly out of a field. How would this compare I wonder? At $15K it might be a great deal or a proverbial "boat anchor"

I think one of the problems with the S-2/1820 engine installation is that the exhaust exits on top of the nacelle and if it isn't covered properly then rain water and other elements can easily get into the engine and cause big problems. The other concern is that Curtis Wrights engines do not seem to sit as well as do the Pratts. It is my understanding that the main bearings and their plating are a cause of failures after sitting idle for too long. I hope they were preserved and covered so they can come back to life.

All donations are tax deductible as the Stockton Field Aviation Museum is a 501c3 nonprofit organization. Tell a friend as the Harpoon needs all the help she can get.

Thank you!
