With a friend, we had the idea to commemorate Remembrance Day in a special way.

Out to the airport we went, and after carefully placing the Harvard out on the ramp, I fired her up and we were able to come up with this.

Lest we forget.

The B&W shot is very nice, very period.
It seems to have the correct tones, as opposed to some digital photos in B&W still look digital. Your's is great.

Thanks guys!

We had lots of fun doing the shoot.

Here's what a friend of mine did of his pictures.

Director Jean-Pierre Bonin
with the collaboration of Frédéric Kogut

Suddenly, detonations are heard from afar. The moon seems to turn pale as the skies light up.

Rumors come in by hemail (this text was masculinized for ease of reading). The Village Mayor has sent his troups against the Metropehole.

Page 4
We urgently need to find where the HQ of Mayor La Boom are situated. His troops have already set fire to the Sympatico Center as its bell resonates in the suburbs of theex downtown of Mayor La Tremblotte. The 514th squadron of the Montunreal regiment have lost itself in the labyrinth of none ways in the Platô Mont-Royal. Also, their equipment goes humpty bumpty as strange protuberances seemd to heva been placed almost evry and anywhere. This also greatly slows the exodus of the citizens whose cars have been confiscated a while ago by pseudoroyal ordinance of Sir Ramirezzzzzzzzzzz Fernandezzzzzzzz de la Plataaaaaaaaaa. Some say he could be the fifth element under direct orders from Mayor La Boom himself…

Page 5
Meanwhile, the members of the 450th squadron on the North Shore prepare themselves to stop the urbans from spreading out of Mountunreal. Fortunately, numerous pot holes slowes them even more. With no cars, they have to use any thing on wheels to take their more precious belongings with them. Thus, we see a long procession of orange cones moving towards the bridges. A last minute press release from the Transport Minister in Etohwa says that any penniless person wanted to cross the 25 Bridge will be immediately turned back.

This is where our hero (mine too!) comes in : the Air commander Ollie de la Combe. It has been said that the Air commander was borned with a wooden spoon in his mouth. We could not care less as our beloved Air commander keeps himself humble and modest.

As he arrives at the base he has this message for the 418s : “I’ll get you La Boom! You will pay for this.”

A team player he is as he salutes his mechanic and the crowd cheering him on prior to each of his missions. No problem he says, it’s just like any other mission.

Nonetheless he strikes the pose for photographers. After all, these pictures may help for the bronze mold of his statue if any thing goes wrong…

A courageous Air commander, the celebrated pilot gets in the cockpit of BQB.

Page 11
After the now notorious « Clear ! » shouting (another complaint for noise to come in from the airport neighbors…) the engine is launched. (This of course sets back the take-off as finding the engine at night ain’t that easy…
One can read determination on his face.

As you can see, my friend is quite the creative genius!

Most obviously, this guy needs a fix and quick. :drinkers:

BTW folks, sorry if some references are quite "Montrealish" but this photo shoot was certainly fun.

Thanks Ollie for the opportunity! :spit2
