Glenn Martin B 10 in USAF museum

Is there anyone who has some good images of this aircraft? Particular of interest are photos of the inside.

Good luck finding pictures. One of the times I was there they had just moved the P-40 and it was al by itself with no ropes around it. I walked over to it to try and get some photos which I did, but when I tried to hold the camera to photos of the inside, a museum worker asked me to not do that. I asked why and I was told that it is against museum policy.

Never had any problems taking photos (other than lighting and crowding), never had a volunteer be anything but helpful or courteous.
My shots are poor but will post as soon as I get to them.

The museum worker was very courteous and friendly, everyone that I've talked to at the museum is the same way. You are very correct about the lighting and the crowds. One thing I don't care for is having aircraft hanging from the ceiling. What's the point? I guess that is why the museum is erecting another building to take the aircraft down from above. I think the museum worker who said that to me was unsure of what was allowed and what wasn't. But it was better to be safe than sorry. There have been times where I was able to take pictures of the inside of some of the aircraft. One of the guys who works in the restoration area told me that a lot of the aircraft on display are incomplete. I asked what he meant and he said some don't have an engine, some have cockpits that are half empty while they try and locate parts to put back in.

yes, the flash from the camera would have been much more damaging than the flash of lightning or the sun glaring into the cockpit onto the instruments and interior during d6its service live, oh yes, I can see that

Remove or disable the flash and do time exposures, then clean them up (lighten or darken) in your photoshop program, most newer digitals (and some high zoot phone cameras) can be manipulated for details.

I managed to get some shots looking into the bomb bay once (with the permission of a museum volunteer.) The aircraft is acutally an empty shell, with almost none of the interior fittings. Seats, controls, and instrument panels are gone..just the basic structure (incorrectly painted "interior green." This aircraft was restored back in the 70s, I bleive by an AF maintenance unit by volunteers on their off-time. I'm sure they had neither the time nor money to find or fabricate replacements for the missing parts.

That said, it's still great to see the old girl in the museum, although the fabric on the wings is getting pretty ratty. She'll definitely need some sprucing up before too much longer, even though she's in a climate-controlled facility.

I'll try to dig up the pics and scan them.

Thanks for all your replies! Looking forward to see images of the interior, even there is not much left Why I am interested? Well a friend of me just finished his Halifax cockpit project ( http://forum.keypublishing.co.uk/showthread.php?t=89634 ) and now he is considering a new project. He is considering a HP Hampden or a Fokket T.V I made the sugestion to build a cockpit of the B10, as there is not much left of that aircraft in the world and in played its role in the Dutch aviation history. He doesn't know anything about so now I trying to find out if there is enough info left to make it possible to build a cockpit section of the B 10. Anyone an idea were I might be able to find drawings?
