A wonderful formation flypast occured recently over our Houses of Parliament in Ottawa. It was organized to salute those who participated in the mission to help the rebels in Libya overcome Qadaffi. I've never seen this sort of thing before, here. Our Forces are getting some solid support these days -- not perfect, but a far higher level than in recent memory.

And it's great that someone said, "Let them fly right over Parliament -- if we can't trust them, then who can we trust?"

That is the most CF-18s I have seen at one time in the air. Lots of OT put in by the MX boys and girls I am sure to make sure it happened. Kudos to those involved in the flight, prepping the birds , the the men and women of the armed forces and even to the government for stepping up and having the polotical will to openly support our troops.

Thanks Dave for posting this pic, a fine tribute indeed.

Cheers,

Jeff :spit

Nice, isn't it -- and they're nowhere near any kind of a showline.

I photographed the practice at CFB Trenton and it was great to see. Unfortunately for the practice only one CF-18 flew but it was impressive to see and a mass flight like I have never seen. Wish I could have made Ottawa as that is one formation I would like to have photographed.
