Last night I was walking the dogs in the lower part of San Francisquito Canyon (20 mi NE of Van Nuys apt) after the sun had set behind the mountain. A T-6 or SNJ flew over heading north at about 5000 ft, still in the sunlight. As his wings rocked slowly back and forth a flash of reflected sunlight criss-crossed the dark floor of the canyon where I was enjoying the stillness of nature being broken by that uniquely beautiful sound of a Ham Standard at 2000 RPM echoing off the canyon walls.
If the pilot is a WIXer and that was you.... thanks for the light show!
