It appears that a EC-121 is about to make a ferry flight in the U.S. Is anyone going to film or photograph this? It would be great for my website and looking for someone to help record it. email me at warhawknm@yahoo.com

It appears that EC-121T N548GF (53-548) is close to making her long anticipated ferry flight from Camarillo to the Yanks Museum home in Chino, CA. The museum has been working on the aircraft for four months and, on Thursday December 8th, engine and taxi runs were successfully completed. The FAA is apparently onboard and being supportive, which is really good news. Frank Wright, the museum’s restoration managers, says she’s ready to go and he’s hoping the flight to Chino will happen in early January. Check out the museum’s website for additional information and updates.

Thanks,
Nathan

I'm confused now Nathan. Are you saying that the ferry flight has already been made (on 8th Dec)?

Or that it is still yet to take place?

:?

According to an e-mail I recently received from Ralph Pettersen, the flight is scheduled for January 14th.

Sorry Mike. Correction made. I read there was a delay but the flight will be sometime early January. Thanks Walt for a better date. Is anyone planning to document the flight? No way I can get there. But wanted to know if anyone is going film and or photograph the event? Both prefered. :D
