You'll get a kick out of this Japanese film clip. obviously, it ws produced many years after WWII. T-28's vs Polikarpov I-16 Rata's! Dehavilland Beavers dropping bombs and weird editing. It ends with a triumphant Japanese song and F-104's taking off and flying in formation. Typical "Godzilla" dogfight scenes with models, but there are real aircraft in it. I found it very interesting.

Sure it's not Tiwanese? Toss in some Bruce Lee clips and you've got a Kung Fu masterpiece. I like the ground troops all wearing Feldgrun and German helmets, and the tug of war propping the hero's engine. The whole movie would be a two rack guys night hit or have the 9 years olds gigling with all the jerky action and fake gore.
Thanks for brightening my morning Jerry!

I think it would be a perfect candidate for the "Mystery Science Theater" treatment!!!!!
I would LMAO if someone ever did it right!

FYI in the mid thirties the Chinese bought about 300,000 German Made M35 helmets, and used them for many years.

Japanese "Nate" fighters vs. Curtiss Hawk biplanes [models] as well...

I especially liked the Telex boom microphone for one of the Curtiss Hawk pilots.

I enjoyed seeing the M-18 Hellcat TDs - even if they were in Japanese markings.

Thanks for the explanation of the German helmets.

Taiwanese for certain. Flaws and all, I wouldn't mind watching the entire film. The model aircraft air combat scenes were pretty good for the time.
I still hope someone will someday produce a good film about the Chinese-American pilots who flew with the KMT in the thirties. Arthur Chin's story in particular has the potential for a terrific movie.

It was likely Tiawan...Japan didn't use T-28s, wheras Tiawan did (IIRDC)...they also made a local look-alike.
