Open Thk's to all the pictures publisher's

Tks all.

It really makes a difference for those that cannot be there.

I consider myself lucky to travel & do some sight seeing but.........the people that get to plan a portion of their life around airshows and on top of that ARE NICE ENOUGH to share it with me ( us )

Tks to all. Truly appreciated......C'monnnnn....the silent voices...ay Thk's........

After all it does take a lot of dedication and passion to do & SHARE with other's :D

Say tks.

I feel the same way about all those who post their photos, whether they be shots from an airshow or museum or vintage stuff. I am also happy to share what I have...

I doubt I'll ever get to places like Chino and Oshkosh, much less Duxford or Wanaka. So I'm grateful to all those who have documented and shared what they have seen.

And we can't travel back in time either, so I'm glad that there are folks who share their historical photos.

I suppose I am one of the picture posters that is being thanked, so thanks for the thanks!

This statement brings up a thought so I hope Mr. Wolf doesn't mind if I expand on his point. It doesn't matter where you are from. WIX spans the globe. So if you have a camera and an airport nearby, go out and photograph "the interesting stuff" (I'll leave that definition up to you), and post for all to see. It doesn't matter where you live, there will always be a number of people who will not be able to travel there. The news aspect is also good for other locals.

Also... pics from the past are very welcome as well. Since there are no time machines (although who knows what is going on in Area 51), the next best thing is to view pics from the past. Pics from an airshow years ago are just as good as pics from an airshow last week. Historical photos, like the ones Jack Cook likes to post, are very welcome as well.

Even though I am one of those being thanked, I should give thanks as well for the pics that others post. THANKS!!!

Mike

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.
